Candle Care

Candle care and characteristics of natural wax

We hope you love your purchase and would like to remind you that each product is individually crafted and poured by hand so to expect some natural flaws… which all add to the charm!

Sometimes it may appear the wax is pulling away from the glass, this is a natural characteristic of RCX Ecosystem wax and can occur while in transit depending on environmental temperatures. This will not affect the quality or burn.

You may notice an uneven top or slight crumble near the wick. Because RCX Ecosystem wax has no additives and is completely natural it can take on such characteristics, once the flame is extinguished it may set smooth or a little lumpy, this is purely aesthetic and will not affect the performance of the candle.

  • Initial candle burn should allow the wax to melt across the entire surface of the container.
  • Subsequent burns should be no longer than 4hrs
  • Always trim the wick to 5mm before lighting to avoid smoking and damage to the glass.
  • Extinguish when 5mm of wax remains
  • Never leave a burning candle unattended.
  • Always leave at least 10cm between burning candles.
  • Keep away from any flammable materials, children and pets.
  • Only burn candles on a level heat resistant surface.
